Delivery by carrier refers to the surrender of the goods by the carrier to the right person, in a proper manner, and at a proper place and time.
The following is an example of a case law referring to delivery by carrier:
Wrongful delivery of goods consigned under an order notify bill of lading is a conversion of the goods by the carrier. [Norfolk & W. R. Co. v. Aylor, 153 Va. 575 (Va. 1929)].
