Demand Response [Transportation] Law and Legal Definition
According to 49 CFR 604.3 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B -- Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter VI -- Federal Transit Administration, Department of Transportation; Part 604 -- Charter Service; Subpart A -- General Provisions], demand response means “any non-fixed route system of transporting individuals that requires advanced scheduling by the customer, including services provided by public entities, nonprofits, and private providers.”
