Dental Services Law and Legal Definition
According to42 CFR 440. 100 [Title 42, Public Health, Chapter IV,Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services, SubChapter C, Medical Assistance Programs, Part 440, Services, General Provisions, Subpart A, Definitions], dental services means "diagnostic, preventive, or corrective procedures provided by or under the supervision of a dentist in the practice of his profession, including treatment of:
- The teeth and associated structures of the oral cavity; and
- Disease, injury, or impairment that may affect the oral or general health of the recipient”.
