Dick Act Law and Legal Definition
The Dick Act of 1902 is a federal law that invalidated all gun-control laws in the U.S. it is also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill as it divides the militia into distinct and separate entities.
The act authorized, for the first time, the creation of a separate section responsible for National Guard affairs. It made the National Guard as the primary organized reserve force.
