Direct Investment Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 22 USCS § 3102 (10) [Title 22. Foreign Relations and Intercourse; Chapter 46. International Investment and Trade in Services Survey], the term direct investment means the ownership or control, directly or indirectly, by one person of 10 per centum or more of the voting securities of an incorporated business enterprise or an equivalent interest in an unincorporated business enterprise.
