Disbursement [Federal Elections] Law and Legal Definition
According to 11 CFR 300.2 (d) [Title 11 -- Federal Elections; Chapter I -- Federal Election Commission; Subchapter C -- Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 -- (BCRA) Regulations; Part 300 -- Non-Federal Funds], the term disbursement means “any purchase or payment made by:
(1) A political committee; or
(2) Any other person, including an organization that is not a political committee, that is subject to the Act.”
