Disbursements is the act or process of disbursing. It is the money paid out; expenditure. Legally, disbursements mean the expenses that an attorney passes on to a client. It is the money which an attorney pays to a third party for preparing client’s case. Disbursements include expense incurred for photocopying, overnight mail, messenger services, court fees, fees for medical or other expert reports.
