Disciplinary Action or Proceeding [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 99.3 [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle A -- Office of the Secretary, Department of Education; Part 99 -- Family Educational Rights and Privacy; Subpart A – General], the term disciplinary action or proceeding means “the investigation, adjudication, or imposition of sanctions by an educational agency or institution with respect to an infraction or violation of the internal rules of conduct applicable to students of the agency or institution.”
