Divisional Court Law and Legal Definition
Divisional court is an English court constituted of two or more judges from the High Court of Justice. They usually preside over special cases that cannot be disposed of by one judge. Divisional court shall preside over all criminal cases in the High Court including appeals from magistrates' courts and in extradition proceedings as well as certain judicial review cases. Each division of a High Court has a divisional court like the Divisional Court of Family Division.
