Domestic Attachment Law and Legal Definition
Domestic attachment is an attachment which is levied on the property of a debtor who resides in the state where the levy is made. The courts issue a domestic attachment when a debtor absconds from the place of his/her usual abode, or remained absent from the state, or confined himself/herself to his/her own house, or concealed himself/herself elsewhere, with a design, in either case, to defraud his/her creditors.
