Dormant Lien of Judgment Law and Legal Definition
Dormant lien of judgment is the lien of a judgment which is in abeyance while a land is exempt from execution, but which becomes active or potential when the exemption ceases to exist. Under some jurisdictions, upon the revival of a dormant judgment, the lien of the judgment is considered to have been a continuous lien from the date of entry of the judgment.
