Double Waste Law and Legal Definition
Double waste refers to destruction occurring when a tenant having a duty to repair allows a house to be wasted and then unlawfully cuts down timber to repair it. Here the tenant commits waste twice – once when s/he neglects to repair the house and again when s/he cuts timber without permission. Hence the name double waste. This term was used in early days and is not much popular now.
