Drop Shipper Law and Legal Definition
Drop shipper is a wholesaler who obtains product orders from customers who are retail merchants or other wholesalers, and then passes the orders directly on to the manufacturer. Drop shipper carries little or no inventory but earns commission on orders passed on to the manufacturer or original supplier. He ships the product directly to the customer, thus eliminating intermediate handling and storage costs normally associated with a traditional wholesale transaction.
