DUI/DWI Crash Law and Legal Definition
DUI/DWI crash means an accident involving one or more motor vehicles, where: at least one driver:
a. was operating or driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or any other drugs; or
b. was legally intoxicated at the time of the crash.
DUI crashes are also referred as drunk driving crashes or drunk driving accidents. DUI crashes are very common in the U.S.
