Dunaway Hearing Law and Legal Definition
This is a hearing to determine whether evidence has been seized from an accused in violation of his or her fourth amendment rights as by a search conducted without probable cause. This principle was evolved in Dunaway v. New York, 442 U.S. 200, 208 (U.S. 1979)
