Duty to warn is the legal obligation to warn people of a danger. For example, manufacturers of hazardous products have a duty to warn customers of a product's potential dangers and to advise users of any precautions they should take. Psychologists have a duty to warn the third parties or authorities if a client poses a threat to himself or herself or to another identifiable individual.
