Economic Discards Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 16 USCS § 1802 (9), [Title 16. Conservation; Chapter 38. Fishery Conservation and Management; Generally] the term economic discards means “fish which are the target of a fishery, but which are not retained because they are of an undesirable size, sex, or quality, or for other economic reasons.”
