Edictum Perpetuum Law and Legal Definition
Edictum perpetuum means that version of the edict that became fixed or permanent. They are gradually elaborated by the judges for the interpretation of the law. However, further modification of an edictum perpetuum is severely restricted. Only those changes that are approved by the Emperor can only be brought in an edictum perpetuum.
