Education of the Handicapped Act [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 104.3 (c) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter I -- Office for Civil Rights, Department of Education; Part 104 -- Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Handicap in Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance; Subpart A -- General Provisions], the term Education of the Handicapped Act means “that statute as amended by the Education for all Handicapped Children Act of 1975, Pub. L. 94-142, 20 U.S.C. 1401 et seq.”
