Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act Law and Legal Definition
The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act also called the Serve America Act reorganize and expand the mission of the corporation for national community service. The Act provides for the increase in fund for:
1. the americorps and other volunteer programs for seniors and veterans; and
2. the education of children and to fund their summer service programs.
The Act was originally titled as the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (GIVE Act)
