Effects of National Concern Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 1022.4, (Title 10 - Energy Chapter X - Department Of Energy (General Provisions), Part 1022 - Compliance With Floodplain/Wetlands; Environmental Review Requirements; Subpart A – General), Effects of national concern means “those effects that because of the high quality or function of the affected resource or because of the wide geographic range of effects could create concern beyond the locale or region of the proposed action.”
