Elected Domicile Law and Legal Definition
Elected domicile refers to a contractually agreed domicile between parties for purposes of a contract. For example, a French person whose domicile is originally in France can exercise his/her civil rights in the U.S. This is possible when the French person has entered the U.S. as his/her elected domicile.
