Electrical Hazard Law and Legal Definition
According to 16 CFR 1500.3 [Title 16 -- Commercial Practices; Chapter II -- Consumer Product Safety Commission; Subchapter C -- Federal Hazardous Substances Act Regulations; Part 1500 -- Hazardous Substances and Articles; Administration and Enforcement Regulations], an article may be determined to present an electrical hazard if, in normal use or when subjected to reasonably foreseeable damage or abuse, its design or manufacture may cause personal injury or illness by electric shock.
