Electronic Storage Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 18 USCS § 2510 (17), [Title 18. Crimes and Criminal Procedure; Part I. Crimes; Chapter 119. Wire and Electronic Communications Interception and Interception of Oral Communications] the term electronic storage means--
“(A) any temporary, intermediate storage of a wire or electronic communication incidental to the electronic transmission thereof; and
(B) any storage of such communication by an electronic communication service for purposes of backup protection of such communication.”
