An assignment is a transfer of ownership of a trademark application or trademark registration from one entity to another. Electronic Trademark Assignment System (eTAS), helps to create and submit a Trademark Assignment Recordation Coversheet by completing on-line web forms and attaching the supporting legal documentation for submission through the internet. Assignment information provided by the user will be recorded and will not be verified or modified by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO).
