Eleemosynary Institution Law and Legal Definition
Federal Property Management Regulations defines Eleemosynary Institution as a nonprofit institution organized and operated for charitable purposes whose net income does not inure in whole or in part to the benefit of shareholders or individuals and which shall have filed with the GSA National Capital Region a satisfactory statement establishing such status. A hospital or an educational institution founded by charity is an eleemosynary institution.
