ENERGY STAR Qualified Product Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 436.41 [Title 10 Energy; Chapter II Department of Energy; Subchapter D Energy Conservation; Part 436 Federal Energy Management and Planning Programs; Subpart C Agency Procurement of Energy Efficient Products], the term ENERGY STAR qualified product means “a product that is rated for energy efficiency under an ENERGY STAR program established by section 324A of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (42 U.S.C. 6294a).”
