Enrollment Date (Health Care) Law and Legal Definition
Enrollment date in the context of health care means:
the first day of health insurance coverage; or
the first day of the waiting period, if there is a waiting period.
The enrollment date of an enrollee who enrolls during the initial enrollment period is generally the first day of employment. In case of a late enrollee, the enrollment date is the first day of coverage.
According to 26 USCS § 9801(b)(2),the term "enrollment date" means, with respect to an individual covered under a group health plan, the date of enrollment of the individual in the plan or, if earlier, the first day of the waiting period for such enrollment.
