Equivalent Non-MSHA Product Safety Standards Law and Legal Definition
According to 30 CFR 7.2 (Title 30 - Mineral Resources; Chapter I - Mine Safety And Health Administration, Department Of Labor; Subchapter B - Testing, Evaluation, And Approval Of Mining Products; Part 7 - Testing By Applicant Or Third Party; Subpart A – General), equivalent non-MSHA product safety standards means “a non-MSHA product safety standard, or group of standards, that is determined by MSHA to provide at least the same degree of protection as the applicable MSHA product technical requirements in the subparts of this part, or can be modified to provide at least the same degree of protection as those MSHA requirements.”
