Equivalent of a Diplomatic Passport Law and Legal Definition
According to 22 CFR 41.26 [Title 22. Foreign Relations; Chapter I. Department of State; Subchapter E. Visas; Part 41. Visas: Documentation of Nonimmigrants under the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended; Subpart C. Foreign Government Officials] the term equivalent of a diplomatic passport means “a national passport, issued by a competent authority of a foreign government which does not issue diplomatic passports to its career diplomatic and consular officers, indicating the career diplomatic or consular status of the bearer.”
