Ergo Law and Legal Definition
Ergo is a Latin phrase which means “therefore.” It is often used in legal writings. In logic, ergo means the conclusion of a preceding argument. Its most famous use was in Cogito, ergo sum: "I think, therefore I am" principle by French philosopher Rene Descartes (1596-1650).
