Estoppel by Representation Law and Legal Definition
Estoppel by representation is sometimes used to enforce a promise for which no consideration was provided. It is similar to the concept of deterimental reliance. It claims that the person made a representation, intending another to reasonably rely on it, and out of fairness, it should be upheld.
