Evaluation [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 300.15 [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter III -- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education; Part 300 -- Assistance to States for the Education of Children with Disabilities; Subpart A – General; Definitions Used in this Part], the term evaluation means “procedures used in accordance with §§ 300.304 through 300.311 to determine whether a child has a disability and the nature and extent of the special education and related services that the child needs.”
