Examiner's Amendment Law and Legal Definition
Examiner’s amendment is a written confirmation of an amendment made to a trademark application. It is a communication to the applicant in which the examining attorney states that the trademark application has been amended in a specified way. Generally, the amendment must be authorized by the applicant or the applicant's attorney. An examiner’s amendment is also a notice that the amendment will be made. The applicant need not respond to the examiner’s amendment unless the applicant wishes to make further changes to the application.
