Exceptio Jurisjurandi is a Latin term which means “an exception of oath”. It is an exception or plea that the matter had been sworn to. This kind of exception was allowed if a debtor, at a creditor's instance, had sworn that nothing was due the creditor, but the creditor sued anyway.
