Exceptional Education Law and Legal Definition
Exceptional Education is education provided to gifted or talented children and to children with physical or mental disabilities. Giftedness is an innate personal aptitude in special fields and cannot be acquired through personal effort. A child with talent has got an aptitude to do certain things. Exceptional education is also known as Exceptional Student Education (ESE). Exceptional education is different from normal elementary school and secondary school system. The Exceptional Children Division helps students with disabilities to develop mentally, physically, emotionally, and vocationally through the provision of an appropriate individualized education.
