Exclusive Use of Consignment Law and Legal Definition
Exclusive use is the sole use by a single consignor of a conveyance. All initial, intermediate, and final loading and unloading in exclusive use is carried out in accordance with the direction of the sole consignor or consignee. Loading or unloading must be performed by personnel having radiological training and resources, appropriate for safe handling of the consignment. For safety, the consignor must issue specific instructions in writing for maintenance of exclusive use of shipment controls. The consignor must include the instruction in the shipping paper information provided to the carrier by the consignor.
