‘Executor To The Tenor’ is a phrase used in ecclesiastical law. It refers to a person who is not named executor in the testator’s will, but who is charged with the responsibility similar to those of an executor. S/he is not directly appointed as an executor. However, an executor to the tenor has to perform the duties appertaining to an executor.
