Expedited Organization Determination (Health Care) Law and Legal Definition
Expedited organization determination refers to the fast decision taken by the medicare choice organization about whether they will provide a health service. Medicare choice organization will provide a decision within 72 hours when life, health or ability to regain function is endangered. The72-hour time period can be extended up to 14 calendar days, if the enrollee requests so or if the medicare choice organization justifies a need for extension and shows that the extension is in the interest of the enrollee.
