Extended Employment [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 361.5 (b) (19) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter III -- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education; Part 361 -- State Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program; Subpart A – General], the term extended employment means “work in a non-integrated or sheltered setting for a public or private nonprofit agency or organization that provides compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.”
