Extension of Protection Law and Legal Definition
According to 15 USCS § 1141 [Title 15. Commerce and trade; Chapter 22. Trademarks; The Madrid Protocol], the term "extension of protection" means “the protection resulting from an international registration that extends to the United States at the request of the holder of the international registration, in accordance with the Madrid Protocol.”
