Extensive agriculture is a form of agriculture that uses small inputs of labor, fertilizers, and capital, for production when compared to the land area that is used for farming. Extensive agriculture is also called extensive farming and it is the opposite of intensive farming. Farming of sheep and cattle in areas with low productivity is an example of extensive farming.
