Extrajudicial opinion refers to an opinion that is beyond the court's authority to render. Such opinions are void. It also refers to a judge's personal or scholarly opinion expressed in a medium other than a judicial opinion or any opinion which is given, or effected outside the course of regular judicial proceedings.
