F.A.S.Vessel Law and Legal Definition
F.A.S. Vessel is the acronym of Free Alongside Steamer. Seller owns goods until they are delivered alongside vessel and the selling price includes all overhead charges incurred in the process along with the cost of transportation to dock. In other words, the terms of sale indicates that the price invoiced or quoted by a seller includes all charges only until delivery to the ship at the port of departure. The buyer is responsible for loading and all subsequent charges.
