According to 10 CFR 733.3 [Title 10 Energy; Chapter III Department of Energy; Part 733 Allegations of Research Misconduct], falsification means “manipulating research materials, equipment, or processes, or changing or omitting data or results such that the research is not accurately represented in the research record.”
