Family Home Movie Act Law and Legal Definition
Family Home Movie Act does not permit one to create a new hardcopy of a movie in a completely "sanitized" format, nor does it permit the technology to insert new video or audio to replace the offending content. This Act establish a limitation on the exclusive rights of copyright holders to permit the marketing and home use of devices intended to edit out sexual, violent and profane scenes and language from motion picture DVDs.
