Family Immunity Law and Legal Definition
Family immunity is the absence of liability for a tort, because of a family relationship between the person who performed the act and the injured person. Under the family immunity doctrine, parents are not civilly liable to a child for personal injuries inflicted during minority, and while the relation of parent and child, with its mutual obligations, exist.
