Farming Operation (Bankruptcy) Law and Legal Definition
According to the Federal Bankruptcy Code 11 USCS § 101 [Title 11. Bankruptcy; Chapter 1. General provisions] "farming operation" includes farming, tillage of the soil, dairy farming, ranching, production or raising of crops, poultry, or livestock, and production of poultry or livestock products in an unmanufactured state.
