Federal Capital Crime Law and Legal Definition
According to 38 CFR 38.600 [Title 38 -- Pensions, Bonuses, and Veterans' Relief; Chapter I -- Department of Veterans Affairs; Part 38 -- National Cemeteries of the Department of Veterans Affairs], federal capital crime means “an offense under Federal law for which a sentence of imprisonment for life or the death penalty may be imposed.”
