Federal Deposit Insurance Reform Conforming Amendments Act of 2005 Law and Legal Definition
Federal Deposit Insurance Reform Conforming Amendments Act of 2005 (“Act”) is a U.S. federal legislation that enacted the technical and conforming amendments necessary to implement the Federal Deposit Insurance Reform Act of 2005. This Act was signed into law on February 15, 2006 by President George Bush.
The Act increases coverage for certain retirement accounts insured by the National Credit Union Administration and makes other technical and conforming amendments consistent with the deposit insurance reform provision of section 1932, the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005.
